I am a licensed psychotherapist in the State of California (license number LMFT79580). I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. In my Master’s project, I studied the use of expressive arts in treating dual diagnoses and addiction issues. I completed my pre-graduate internship at Women's Recovery Association (WRA), working with women in recovery in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Expressive Arts Therapy is an approach that promotes self-expression using the creative arts. A variety of modalities are used, such as: clay, drawing, sandtray, imagery, music, and movement. Expressive Arts Therapy can work for adults and children alike. Using Expresive Arts Therapy techniques combined with play therapy can be an effective way for children to work through emotional pain and learn how to better cope with stressors. This can lead to a reduction in behavior problems and increased self-confidence.

Throughout the years, I have worked with a diverse group of patients in terms of age, ethnicity, socio-economic background, and diagnoses. I have experience both in short- and long-term therapy and my background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults on issues of personal growth, behavior, social skills, addiction, eating disorders, postpartum depression as well as couples and family therapy.

I have an extensive background working with children with special needs as I earned my bachelor degree in teaching art specializing in Special Education.

I am fluent in English and Hebrew.
